Holland (Albert D.) High School of Technology is built.

Architect: George Robinson. Originally named the Jeremiah E. Burke High School for Girls after a former Boston school superintendent, it is located at 60 Washington Street. The last high school built in Boston until 1973,* it becomes coeducational in 1972. Designated an “underperforming” school in 2010*, it becomes the only high school in the state to shed that status in 2014. The school assumes it current name after a former principal in 2024.
